Ako Pascall scored 14 points, dished out two assists and made two steals as Marabella United recorded a 69-47 win over San Fernando in the Hoop of Life Community Basketball League at Maryshaw Basketball Court, Bayshore, Marabella on Wednesday night.
On their way to their second win in three matches, Marabella led 22-13, 36-24 and 53-31 in the first three quarters of play respectively, with Pascall being supported by Reykayi Isaac, who netted 11 points and made five steals.
For the winless San Fernando, Kobina Simon led all scorers with 22 points and three rebounds and teammate Clint Phillip helped himself to 17 points, six rebounds and one block.
In other results, Palo Seco got their second win of the competition after defeating Penal 76ers 63-57 at Lachoos Road Recreation Ground in Penal.
Devon Waddell achieved a double-double for the hosts when he sank 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds, but his effort was not good enough to help his team avoid defeat.
Penal, led by Waddell's 11-point performance in a spirited fourth quarter, outscored Palo Seco 20-16, but time was not on their side, and the host lost for the second time in three outings.
For the winners Cliff Bobb had 16 points, Franklyn Lewis added 15 points and two rebounds and Martin Cornwall chipped in with 13 points and four rebounds.
Elsewhere, Caledonia beat Beetham 81-64 at Phase II, Beetham.
Caledonia was led by 22 points from forward Kyeon Joseph, while centre Wilt Vincent had 13 and ten rebounds, Allister Martin had 12 points and five rebounds and Wesley Vincent chipped in with 11 points.
For Beetham, forwards Alvin St Louis led with 16 points, Kwesi Julien supported with 15 points and Phillip Alexander contributed 12.

Under-19 basketballers Ezeoha Santiago, Mohammed Elias and Jabari Narcis represented T&T well so much so that they picked up the top awards in helping the national youth team cop the title at the Jamaica Hoopfest Club Tournament which took place in Montego Bay, Jamaica, a week ago. KTP Basket Kotka (Korisliiga) landed experienced 35-year old Trinidad and Tobago ex-international point guard Ian Young (191-81, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances). He played in the summer at Caballeros de Culiacan in Mexican CIBACOPA. In 34 games he averaged impressive 16.1ppg, 3.6rpg and 3.1apg.
