Trinidad and Tobago's point guard Ian Young was one of the top performers in the Mexican League as his team Lechugueros defeated Gigantes 86 -80.

FORMER NATIONAL stand-out Stephen 'Lighter' Lewis walked away with the coveted Most Valuable Player award in the Premier Division at the bpTT Mayaro Basketball League's 2016 prize distribution, recently. Halifax Hurricanes (NBL Canada) inked 33-year old former Trinidad and Tobago international point guard Joey Haywood (185-82kg-84, college: St.Mary's) from Halifax Rainmen. In 45 NBL Canada games he recorded 11.5ppg, 2.5rpg and 2.1apg in 2014-15 season. He helped them to win the NBL Atlantic Division title (twice) (also twice).
