Police men's basketball team suffered its first loss, 98-85, to Valencia Heat on Saturday night at the Maloney Indoor Complex. In game one of the Big Four semi-finals of the NBFTT national club championships Heat outran the lawmen 32-25 in the final quarter to steal the victory.

In closely contested opening game, Fabrice Fisher had a game high 24pts as Police seized the opening, 21-19. However, at the end of the half Heat took the advantage, 39-37. In the third period. Heat maintained its lead, 66-60, as it was obvious that Police team missed one of its key players, Adrian Joseph. Joseph had limited playing time coming off the bench and didn't played after being substituted during the first half.

Led by Randy Greenidge with 22pts, Heat controlled the last session as Police committed too many unforced errors. Greenidge was ably assisted by Michael Saunders & Keyon Joseph with 18pts apiece while Kevon Noreiga added 11pts, For Police, Dextroy Manswell had 15pts, Wesley Vincent 13pts and Phillip Alexander added 10 in the losing effort.

In the second game of the double header, Detour Shak Attack scored a hard fought 56-52 win over Petro Jazz in a low scoring contest. Shak Attack led throughout the game 14-11, 27-26, 43-41 and 56-52.
