Wentworth added some size and athleticism with the signing of Johnson Decembre. Decembre is a 65 shooting guard/small forward from Davenport, Florida. Johnson is the son of Andrea and Johnson Decembre (Davenport, FL).

Red Dragon Head Coach, Tom Hughes, stated, We are excited about the potential that Johnson brings to our team. He can shoot the outside shot, or take you down low and post you up on the block. He is an excellent rebounder who has a nose for the ball.

Johnson was a two-year starter for the Osceola (FL) High School. Johnson helped led the Kowboys to a two year record of 37-11. As a senior, he averaged 8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks per game.

Upon graduation from Osceola HS, Johnson enrolled in Concord Prep Academy, Concord, North Carolina. At Concord Prep, he averaged 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks per game.

Hughes continued, Decembre is the type of player we were looking for. We needed to add size and athleticism in order to be more successful. Being a left-handed shooter is a bonus.

Johnson is a quality student athlete he took honors and AP classes in high school. We want young men who have the desire to not only succeed on the basketball court, but more importantly in the game of life, added Hughes.

Wentworth competes as a member of the NJCAA (Region 16). The Red Dragons will play teams from Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, and Missouri.
