The Uruguayan National Team will soon begin their preparations for the 2013 Fiba Americas Championship. Uruguay will take part at the Stankovic Cup in China as part of that preparatory work. The first training camp of the team is scheduled to tip off on June 10. Seventeen players have been invited to attend the training sessions. These are:
Tirrell Baines(198-F-86, college: Marshall) netted 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds leading Stockolmo to beat Colon 79-75 and the winner is now leading the Metro league along with Larre Borges, both with a 2-0 record. Also for Stockolmo, Daniel Rivero (182-G-77) scored 17 points. For Colon, Myles Walker (203-C-90, college: Indiana St.) scored 26 points with 11 rebounds and 2 blocks.Capitol defeated Cader 94-83 and both teams has now a 1-1 record [read more]

For Cader Marcel Subervielle scored 22 points with 6 rebounds and Gerald Inman (208-F-87, college: Rutgers) added 17 points with 12 rebounds.
Larre Borges defeated Marne 87-70 to win its second straigth game after the round two for the Metropolitan League. Justin Dobbins(203-C/F-87, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management, college: E.Michigan) scored 28 points with 9 rebounds and 3 blocks, while Renzo Lazzaroni (186-G-85) added 23 points and 5 assists for the winner.
