Deportes Castro - Hebraica 84:82

Deportes Castro clinched the first win at the South American League. They capped their campaign with a narrow win over Hebraica. Gonzalo Velasquez (185-G-81) scored 20 points to lead the Chilean team.
Deportes Castro jumped to an early lead. They accumulated a 24:14 lead after the opening quarter. Hebraica however turned things upside down in the second frame. The Uruguayan team went on a 28:13 run to grab a 42:37 halftime advantage. Deportes Castro did not allow Hebraica to clear off. The Chilean side narrowed the gap at 2-point mark at the final intermission. Deportes Castro fired 25 points in the fourth stanza and sealed the victory at the end. CamRon Clay (203-PF-82) accounted for 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Zaronn Cann (199-F, college: Eckerd) contributed 16 points for the winners. Walter Baxley (193-G-84, college: Mars Hill) responded with 44 points for Hebraica. Joaquin Izuibejeres (184-G-82) netted 13 points in the loss.

This week's number one is an international point guard Luciano Parodi (182-94). He could not help Weber Bahia (6-5) in their last game.
