Toros de Aragua (LPB) signed 25-year old Uruguayan guard Andres Dotti (185-93). He moved there from played at Defensor in Uruguayan LUB league where he started the season. In 38 games he had 12.2ppg, 2.0rpg, 2.2apg and 1.4spg this season. The last season Dotti played at Larre Borges (also in LUB). In 32 games he recorded 14.5ppg, 3.6rpg, 2.1apg and 1.3spg. We regret to inform that our correspondent Hector R. Lopez passed away today at 76. Hector was our main correspondent for Uruguayan basketball for the last 10 years. He began his journalistic career in 1960 as a member of El Diaro and Manana. Between 1973 and 1995 he worked for Reuters news agency. He is the author of many books such as Manual de Estilo (1979), Puzzle de la Excelencia (1996), co-author of Marco el Camino (2005) about 100 years of basketball in Uruguay.
