#1. This week's number one is an international guard Martin Osimani (194-81, college: Duquesne, currently plays in Argentina), who plays in the Argentinian LigaA. He could not help Obras (4-9) in their last game. Despite Osimani's very good performance Obras lost 70-80 in a derby game to the much higher-ranked (#4) Lanus.
He was the top scorer with 22 points. Osimani also added 5 assists in 31 minutes on the court.
It was Obras' ninth consecutive loss in a row.
But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen.
Osimani is currently sixth on the league's list of best passers with 4.1apg.
He also averaged so far 12.7ppg, 2.8rpg, 2FGP: 49.0%, 3FGP: 25.6% and FT: 80.4% in the 13 games he played so far.
Osimani is currently a member of the Uruguayan senior national team.
#2. Second place goes to an international guard Jayson Granger (186-89, currently plays in Spain), who plays in the Spanish ACB. Granger was not able to help Asefa Estudiantes (4-2) in their last game on Saturday. Despite his good performance Asefa Estudiantes was defeated 86-81 on the road by the lower-ranked Blancos de Rueda (#11).
Granger scored 12 points and added 3 passes.
But the season just started, so everything may happen.
It's Granger's seventh year with the team.
He has relatively good stats this season: 13.7ppg, 2.0rpg, 3.2apg, 2FGP: 45.7%, 3FGP: 41.2% and FT: 70.4%.
Granger has a dual citizenship: Uruguayan and Italian.
Worth to mention he played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball. He is in the roster of the Uruguayan senior national team.
#3. The Uruguayan player who performed third best last week abroad was an international power forward Esteban Batista (208-83, agency: Duran International, currently plays in Euroleague). Batista contributed to an Anadolu Efes' victory against the fifth-ranked Caja Laboral (1-3) 76-64 in the Euroleague on Thursday night.
He recorded 9 points in 16 minutes.
Anadolu Efes Istanbul (3-1) is placed second in group C.
It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row.
It's Batista's first season with the team.
This year Batista averages: 8.5ppg, 1.5rpg, 2FGP: 77.8% in the two games.
He is another player who holds two passports: Uruguayan and Spanish.
Batista is also a member of the Uruguayan senior national team.
#4. An experienced point guard Nicolas Mazzarino (181-75, agency: Players Group, currently plays in Italy) led Cantu to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Air Avellino (2-4) 79-67 in the Italian SerieA in Sunday night's game.
He scored 12 points and added 4 passes.
Chebolletta Cantu (4-2) is placed fourth in the SerieA.
But the season is still in it's first stage and everything can happen.
Mazzarino is one of the most experienced players in a team as it's his eighth year in Cantu's roster.
Mazzarino's overall stats this season are: 8.4ppg, 2.8rpg and 1.6apg.
He has both Uruguayan and Italian nationalities.
Mazzarino used to play for the Uruguayan national team
back in 2008.

#1.Phillip Holm (175-G-80, currently plays in Norway) led Baerum Basket to a victory against one of league's weakest teams Ammerud Bskt (2-7) 84-70 in the Norwegian BLNO last Sunday.
He recorded 14 points and added 5 passes in 27 minutes.
Baerum Basket (4-5) is placed fourth in the BLNO.
Holm belongs to league's best passers and is ranked #2 with 4.1apg.
This year he also averages: 13.0ppg and 2.4rpg in the nine games he played so far.
Holm has a dual citizenship: Uruguayan and German.
Hebraica Macabi, the defending champions, won its third game in a row after beating Cordon 101-58 for the Uruguayan League 5th round. Leandro Garcia Morales (186-G-80, college: Texas A&M, agency: Pro Sports) scored 20 points , while Diaz Jorge Bryan, playing for the first time with Hebraica added 16 points and 6 rebounds and Michael Hicks (196-F-76, college: Texas A&M-CC) added 14 points. Newly promoted Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos (LigaA) added to their roster 32-year old American power forward Rashaun Freeman (206-116kg-84, college: Massachusetts). He played last season at Hebraica in Uruguayan LUB league. In 20 games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 7.6rpg, 1.8apg and 1.1spg. Freeman helped them to win the league title (twice). He also played that season for Boca Juniors where in 17 LigaA games he averaged remarkable 16.7ppg, 7.5rpg and 1.2apg. In 2007 Freeman was drafted by Albany Patroons (USBL) in third round (29th overall). The former University of Massachusetts standoutis in his tenth season in pro basketball. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he was voted Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Player of the Year and Eurobasket.com All-French ProB Import Player of the Year back in 2008. Freeman is quite experienced player. His career allowed him to visit four different continents, while he played in ten different countries. Freeman tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Belarus (Tsmoki-Minsk), Belgium (VOO Verviers-Pepinster), Bosnia (Siroki Primorka), China (Heilongjiang), Germany (EnBW Ludwigsburg), Israel (GreenTops Netanya and B.C. Johwen Villegas (193-F-85, college: FIU) scored 12/15 three points shots to improve the Uruguayan League record after 11 years and Trouville defeated Malvin 89-72. Villegas finished with 40 points 2 rebounds and 5 asssists.
