28-year old forward Kristian Clarkson (202-F-84, agency: TSS Management) put on an amazing game in the last round for Larre Borges and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 22.
He had a double-double of 43 points and 14 rebounds, while his team lost the game against Un.Atletica (#3, 16-6) 76-84. Larre Borges maintains the 15th position in Uruguayan league. Too late to salvage the team, which is currently ranked such low. They already lost 17 games and recorded just five victories. Clarkson turned to be Larre Borges' top player in his first season with the team. Widener University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Clarkson is in league's top in points (4th best: 25.8ppg), rebounds (5th best: 11.6rpg) and averages solid 1.3bpg and 3.0spg.

Second best performed player last round was Leandro Garcia Morales (186-G-80) of Aguada. He is naturalized Italian guard in his first season at Aguada. In the last game Garcia Morales recorded impressive 51 points and 4 assists. Of course he lead Aguada to another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Hebraica (#5, 14-8) 110-86. Aguada's 6th position in the standings has not changed. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 13-9 record is not bad and everything may still change. Garcia Morales is a newcomer at Aguada and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Terence Shellman (198-F-78) of Sayago (#11). Shellman scored 27 points and grabbed twelve rebounds (!!!). Despite Shellman's great performance Sayago lost 91-98 to the higher-ranked Bohemios (#8, 11-11). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Sayago ranking at the top of the league, however are very questionable as they have already lost 13 games, recording just nine victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Shellman could help Sayago to bring them higher in the standings. Shellman has a great season in Uruguay. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 12.0rpg (3rd best). He also has 1.1bpg and FGP: 53.8%.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Gary Hamilton (208-C/F-84) of Defensor - 19 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists
5. Justin Keenan (202-F/C-88) of Trouville - 24 points, 12 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Christopher Hayes (206-F-87) of Aguada - 20 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists
7. Angel Luis Figueroa (196-G/F-81) of Cordon - 31 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Rodrigo Trelles (191-F-88) of Bohemios - 26 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists
9. Howard Wilkerson (198-F-84) of Tabare - 18 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists
10. Marcus Elliott (191-G-84) of Olimpia - 20 points, 15 rebounds and 3 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
