CSM Bucuresti signs Brian Morris, ex Cordon - Dec 31, 2012

CS Municipal Bucuresti (Division A) signed 25-year old American forward Brian Morris (205-87, college: Humboldt State). He just played at Cordon in Uruguayan LUB league. Morris managed to play in three leagues in three countries last year (!!!). In three LUB games this season he had 12.0ppg and 9.0rpg. The last summer he played at Portland in IBL. In 7 games he recorded 14.9ppg, 6.0rpg and 2.3apg. Morris also played at Vitoria in Portuguese LPB earlier that season. In 15 games last season he recorded very impressive stats: 16.5ppg, 11.0rpg and 1.5spg. The other team he played that season for was Quilmes in Argentinian TNA. In 10 games he recorded 8.8ppg and 5.2rpg.
His team won IBL Continental Division Regular Season.
The previous (2011) summer Morris played at Vancouver in IBL.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as Morris was voted All-CCAA Player of the Year and All-CCAA 1st Team in 2010 and 2011 at his college time.
Morris has played previously professionally in Argentina (Quilmes Mar del Plata) and IBL (Vancouver Volcanoes).
He attended Humboldt State until 2011 and it will be his second season as a professional player.

Colon (Metropolitan) agreed terms with 32-year old American forward Scott Cutley (196-107kg-85, college: CS Fullerton). He played last season at Atenas Carmen in Argentinian TNA league. In 49 games he had very impressive stats: 17.9ppg, 9.0rpg (#3 in the league), 3.9apg and 1.2spg. Cutley helped them to make it to the semifinals. Esteban Batista (208-C/F-83, agency: Duran International) scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, leading Uruguay to beat Argentina 87-78, as both NT are training to play the AmeriCup at the end of this month. It was the second game for both teams after Argentina beat Uruguay 105-.96 in the first one. Also for the winner, Bruno Fitipaldo (183-PG-91, agency: Pro Sports) added 23 points, with 5/7 from the three points line and Jayson Granger (189-G-89) scored 16 points and added 9 assists.    [read more]
