American Center Bernard Toombs (208-C-87) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Marne, receiving a Latinbasket.com Ascenso Player of the Week award for round 13. The 28-year old player had a double-double of 29 points and 19 rebounds, while his team beat Verdirrojo (#3, 8-4) 70-65. Marne maintains the 10th position in Uruguayan Ascenso. Marne is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 4-8 record. Toombs just recently signed at Marne, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Former Troy University star has very solid stats this year. Toombs is in league's top in rebounds (5th best: 13.8rpg) and averages impressive 1.8bpg and 54.8% FGP.
The second best player in last round's games was young Matias Nicoletti (193-F-94) of Miramar. Nicoletti had a very good evening with 36 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Bad luck as Miramar lost that game 92-100 to the lower-ranked Montevideo (#12, 2-10). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Miramar keeps 9th position. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Nicoletti is one of the most experienced players at Miramar and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.
Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Trevante Drye (200-F-93) of Stockolmo (#5). Drye scored 22 points and grabbed twenty five rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Stockolmo, leading his team to a 73-64 win against slightly lower-ranked Larranaga (#6, 7-5). Stockolmo needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 4 lost games. Drye has a great season in Uruguay. After 12 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 16.2rpg (2nd best). He also has 1.7bpg and FGP: 51.8%.

We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy. The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
