Miller
Larre Borges (LUB) signed 34-year old American center Nakiea Miller (204-109kg-79, college: Iona). He played last summer at Mattica in La Vega League in Dominican Republic. Miller also played at Philippine Patriots in Filipino ASEAN League that season.
The previous (2011) summer he played at Patriotas in Colombian Copa Federacion. The other team Miller played that season for was KL Dragons in Malaysian league. In 14 ASEAN League games that year he was third best scorer with impressive 21.1ppg and averaged 14.9rpg (#2 in the league), 1.3spg and 3.5bpg. He helped them to make it to the semifinals. A very impressive season as he was named to Asia-Basket.com All-ASEAN League 2nd Team. Another team Miller played shortly was Montevideo BC. In 5 LUB games he was third best scorer with impressive 20.6ppg and had 10.0rpg (#2 in the league), 1.0apg, 1.8spg and 5.0bpg.
In 2001 he was drafted by Pennsylvania Valley Dawgs (USBL) in fifth round (45th overall).
The former Iona College standoutis in his twelfth (!!!) season in pro basketball.
His team was regular season runner-up in Mexican CIBACOPA in 2008.
Miller is quite experienced player. He has played also professionally in Argentina, Belgium, Canada, Chile, France, Indonesia (Satria Muda), Iraq (Al Kahraba), Poland and Mexico (Marineros and Frayles de Guasave).
