Federico
Haller
24-year old forward Federico Haller (198-F-88) had a great game in the last round for Montevideo and receives a Eurobasket.com Player of the Week award for round 29.
He had a double-double of 24 points and 16 rebounds, while his team beat Sayago (#11, 11-17) 93-86. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on the top of the standings. Thanks to this victory Montevideo moved-up to the 9th position in the Uruguayan league. Montevideo is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 15-15 record. In the team's last game Haller had a remarkable 80.0% from 2-point range. He turned to be Montevideo's top player in his first season with the team. Federico Haller averages this season 14.8ppg and 7.9rpg.

Second best performed player last round was Anthony Danridge (196-G/F-86). He is American swingman in his first season at Montevideo. In the last game Danridge recorded impressive 29 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Montevideo cruised to a 93-86 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Sayago (#11, 11-17). The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the title. Montevideo dropped in the standings to 9th position. His team lost some distance to top teams. But 15-15 record is not bad and everything may still change. Danridge is a newcomer at Montevideo and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.6ppg (#6). He also registered 4.3 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Justin Keenan (202-F/C-88) of league's second-best Trouville. Keenan got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for ten rebounds . Despite Keenan's great performance Trouville lost 71-80 to the lower-ranked Hebraica (#5, 20-10). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Trouville needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 21 victories and 8 lost games. Keenan has a great season in Uruguay. After 28 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 27.2ppg (best scorer).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anthony Johnson (203-F-88) of Bigua - 22 points and 11 rebounds
5. Jaleel Nelson (196-G-87) of Bohemios - 18 points, 11 rebounds and 3 assists
6. Gerald Inman (208-F-87) of Nacional - 23 points and 5 rebounds
7. Claudio Charquero (207-C-77) of Nacional - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
8. Chris Jeffries (199-F-80) of Bigua - 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists
9. Krys Faber (208-C) of Welcome - 13 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Gonzalo Meira (192-F-88) of Bigua - 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
