Adrian Moss joins Aguada, ex Union Progr. - Jan 18, 2013

Adrian Moss
Atletico Aguada (LUB) agreed terms with 32-year old American forward Adrian Moss (203-108kg-81, college: Florida). He just played at Union Progresista in Argentinian league. In 21 LigaA games this season he had 10.2ppg and 6.5rpg. Moss also played at ESSM Le Portel Cote dOpale (ProB) in French ProB earlier that season. The last season he played at Palencia Baloncesto (LEB Gold) in Spanish LEB Gold. In 34 games last year he recorded very impressive stats: 15.4ppg and 6.1rpg. A very spectacular season in his career as he was named to Eurobasket.com All-Spanish LEB Gold Honorable Mention.
The previous (10-11) season Moss played at Kiryat Tivon (National League) in Israeli National League. In two games that year he recorded 9.5ppg and 5.0rpg.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as he won NCAA championship title in 2006. Moss was also voted Eurobasket.com All-Danish Ligaen 1st Team back in 2007.
He is quite experienced player. Moss has played also professionally in Germany (Science City Jena and Eisbaeren Bremerhaven), Switzerland (Lausanne), Spain (Ourense and Caceres Basket) and Denmark (Randers).
He attended University of Florida until 2006 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
On Moss: A relentless rebounder and shot blocker with good range for a big man. Runs the floor well and can play with his back to the basket. Will provide depth in the front court positions. Has a competitive spirit.

Atletico Cordon Montevideo (Metropolitan) landed 25-year old Brazilian center Dida Pereira (203-92, college: Sequoias CC). He played most recently at Pozo Soton BVM 2012 Mieres in Spanish EBA league. In 20 games he averaged impressive 16.2ppg and 7.9rpg last season. Among other achievements Pereira played in the final of Brazilian National League in 2013. Goes Montevideo (LUB) signed 24-year old center Diego Tortajada (201-93) from U Universitario. In 26 LUB games he had 3.4ppg and 2.0rpg last season. He helped them to end the regular season as a second best team in the league. The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Tortajada was voted Latinbasket.com Uruguayan Ascenso League All-Domestic Players Team in 2016. Metropolitan Round 6: Atenas edge Colon by three points - 22 hours ago
There were many interesting games last round. The round ended with derby games and favorites losing the games. The most exciting game of round 6 in the Ascenso took place in Montevideo. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Colon (2-4) to first ranked Atenas (5-1) 98-95 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment.
