Travele
Jones
Newly promoted Nift Al-Janoub (Superleague) strengthened their roster with addition of 29-year old American power forward Travele Jones (203-88, college: Texas Southern). He started the season at Welcome in Uruguayan LUB league. In three games he recorded very impressive stats: 16.3ppg, 10.0rpg, 1.3apg and 2.0spg this season. Jones ended the last season at Arkadikos in Greek A1 where in 5 games he averaged just 2.8ppg and 2.0rpg. But the most of that year he spent at Los Leones in Chilean Liga Nacional. In 27 games he had also remarkable stats: 19.9ppg, 8.6rpg, 1.3apg and 1.8spg. Jones helped them to make it to the semifinals.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others he received All-SWAC Player of the Year award and All-SWAC 1st Team award back in 2011 at his college time.
Thanks to Jones' pro career he managed to play on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Latin America and of course North America). Jones has played previously professionally in Belgium (VOO Verviers-Pepinster), Japan (Sendai 89ers and Aomori Watts) and Switzerland (Massagno).
He attended Texas Southern University until 2011 and it is his sixth season as a professional player.
