Robert
Hornsby
Club Atletico Olimpia Montevideo (LUB) signed experienced 35-year old American forward Robert Hornsby (195-82, college: Troy, agency: Pro Sports). He started the season at Jacksonville Giants (ABA) in the U.S. The last season Hornsby played at Defensor where in 30 LUB games he had 14.2ppg, 3.5rpg, 1.8apg and 1.3spg. He helped them to win the regular season and make it to the final.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Hornsby was voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LPB 2nd Team back in 2013.
He is quite experienced player. Hornsby has played also professionally in Argentina, Mexico (Tijuana Zonkeys, Frayles de Guasave, Fuerza Guinda Nogales, Pioneros and Vaqueros), Uruguay (Aguada) and Venezuela (Bucaneros).
It's very possible he may end his playing career at Olimpia.
Hornsby attended Troy University until 2005 and it is his twelfth (!!!) season as a professional player.
He could be described: A very versatile forward, who usually plays in the 3 position, but who can spend time in the backcourt, as a powerful SG, and inside, as a mobile PF.
