Curtis
American Center Dwayne Curtis (203-C-85) had a very impressive game in the last round for second-ranked Aguada, receiving a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 10 (Second Stage).
The 31-year old player had a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Malvin (#6, 4-6) 77-70. Aguada maintains the 2nd position in their group in Uruguayan LUB. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier in Second Stage. Aguada will need more victories to improve their 7-3 record. Curtis turned to be Aguada's top player in his first season with the team. Former The University of Mississippi star has very solid stats this year. Curtis is in league's top in rebounds (8th best: 10.5rpg) and averages impressive 60.9% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was 29-year old American Rodney Alexander (201-F-87) of Olimpia. Alexander had a very good evening with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Of course he led Olimpia to another comfortable win outscoring the lower-ranked Cordon (#6, 1-10) 86-61. Olimpia's 3rd position in Perman. has not changed. His team's 7-4 record is not bad at all. Alexander is a newcomer at Olimpia, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.8ppg (#2). He also registered 13.3 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Anthony Kent (208-F/C-83) of Promocional 2 second-best Welcome. Kent scored 27 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). He was a key player of Welcome, leading his team to a 80-72 win against #4 ranked U Atletica in a game of the week. Welcome needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in Perman.. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Kent has a very solid season. In 8 games in Uruguay he scored 18.6ppg. He also has 8.5rpg, 2.0bpg and FGP: 52.4%.

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
