Andres Dotti (185-G-93) had an amazing evening in the last round for Larre Borges and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com Player of the Week award for round 11 (Second Stage).
The 23-year old guard had the game-high 28 points adding four rebounds and four assists for Larre Borges as his team lost the game against Defensor (#7, 4-7) 93-100. Larre Borges moved-up to the 6th position in their group in Uruguayan LUB. Larre Borges is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. But it was their 6th lost game this season out of 10 games. In the team's last game Dotti had a remarkable 68.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Larre Borges' top player in his first season with the team. Andres Dotti averages this season 13.8ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was 33-year old American power forward Anthony Kent (208-F/C-83) of Promocional 2 second-ranked Welcome. Kent impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 18 points and 22 rebounds. Of course Welcome cruised to a 102-91 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Cordon (#6, 1-10). Welcome's second position in Perman. has not changed. His team's 8-3 record is not bad at all. Kent is a newcomer at Welcome and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 19.4ppg (#6). He also registered 10.1 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was American Tim Jennings (193-F-83) of Cordon (#6). Jennings got into 30-points club by scoring 31 points in the last round. He went also for five rebounds . Despite Jennings' great performance Cordon lost 91-102 to the higher-ranked Welcome (#2, 8-3). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Cordon can only dream about fighting for top spots in Perman.. They have extremely bad season and 1-10 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Too bad for Jennings he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Jennings has a very solid season. In 24 games in Uruguay he scored 18.0ppg. He also has 4.7rpg and 4.5apg. Jennings attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Jeremis Smith (203-F-86) of Aguada - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Rodney Alexander (201-F-87) of Olimpia - 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists
6. Gaston Semiglia (192-F-91) of U Atletica - 20 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Albert Jackson (211-C-88) of Larre Borges - 18 points and 8 rebounds
8. Shaquille Johnson (190-F-90) of U Universitario - 30 points, 2 rebounds and 5 assists
9. James Williams (204-C-79) of Welcome - 19 points and 7 rebounds
10. Kiril Wachsmann (203-C-84) of Defensor - 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 assists

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
