Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Escuela Pedagogica de Baloncesto (EPB) won the LINABAFE 2010 championship and completed back-to-back crowns in Venezuela's top Women League, as they swept Yaracuyanas, 3-0, with an away victory at Nicolas Ojeda Parra of San Felipe, 76-66.
EPB defeated Estudiantes in the 2009 Finals and now they were able to do it again, this time against Yaracuyanas. The visitors won the first quarter, 19-16 but the hosts took the lead at halftime with a nice 22-12 comeback, 38-31.
The visitors did not hesitate and showed some offensive power in the third partial while Yaracuyanas struggled, so EPB went ahead again, 55-52. They completed the feat with a 21-14 run in the last 10 minutes of action.

Meanwhle, Perez added 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals in 16 minutes coming off the bench. Both players are former players of Venezuela's National Team and former Distrito Capital State stars.
Weatherford finished with a 24-5 overall record. They had defeated Odessa (95-64) and New Mexico JC (77-71) to get to the Finals. Blanco averages 9.6 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in 23 games according to the last updated stats info of the NJCAA site. Meanwhile, Perez averages 5.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game in 15 games.

Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Venezuelan PG Roselis Silva (167-G-91) and the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns were able to pull off a win over SW Oklahoma State, 70-66 in over time, at Bruin Fieldhouse in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to win the American Conference Championship in the NCAA's Division II action.
Silva was one of the bright spots for her team, as she managed to support them with 14 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in 43 minutes of action, as she netted 4 of 16 two-point shots, 1 of 4 three-pointers and 3 of 4 free throws.
The Venezuelan young talent was named to the All-Star Team of the short tournament and will now take on the Regional Tournament. The first game will be on March 15th against Minnesota State. Silva averages 15.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game in 29 games, 28 as a starter.

Her team was also taken down by Washburn (L 77-65) on November 24th. She had her first double double of the season with 12 points, 12 assists and adding 4 rebounds, 3 steals and a block.
In her first conference game of the regular season, the Golden Suns defeated Southern Nazarene, 81-61. Silva supported her team with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
After these 4 games, Silva is averaging 9.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals per game.
