Sixth game of the LPB Finals was played last night. Marinos celebrated 93-80 home victory against Trotamundos closing the series with 4-2. It means that Marinos defended the LPB title from the last season. They were LPB champions also in 1991, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2009. Leon Rodgers (199-F-80, college: N.Illinois) stepped up for Marinos in Game Six with 28 points. Axiers Sucre (198-F-78) secured a great help adding 18 pts to this victory. Sucre was named MVP of the Finals. Marinos took control on their rival from the very beginning. They started with 12-2 run and later jumped to 24-8 lead. With something more than a minute to go in the first quarter Shaun Pruitt (208-C-85, agency: Edge Sports, college: Illinois) and Miguel Marriaga (208-C-84) had an episode of boxing on the court. Both of them were expelled by the referees and soon after that David Cubillan (183-PG-87, college: Marquette) was also sent to the showers. Marinos finished first quarter with 29-12 and they reached plus 31 after the breather, 61-30. Trotamundos came to minus 9 (85-76) with 3 minutes remaining in the game, but it was all from them last night.
