Venezuela - Angola 90:83

Venezuela registered the second straight win at the start of Super 4 Cup tournament in Puerto La Cruz. They overcame Angola for 2-0 record. Venezuela will now take on Dominican Republic, while Angola will face Jordan in the final round.
Venezuela ensured a quick start. They dominated throughout the first half taking a 59:38 lead. Angola however bounced back in the second part of the game. The African team took over and gradually narrowed the margin. They got within a striking distance late in regulation but Venezuela hang on to escape with a tough win at the end. David Cubillan (183-PG-87, college: Marquette) accounted for 18 points for Venezuela. Jhornan Zamora (193-G/F-89) delivered 15 points, while Axiers Sucre (198-F-78) had 12 points for the winners. Carlos Morais (190-G-85) answered with 24 points for Angola.

Colombia U19 won Bolivarian Games 2017 defeating Venezuela U19 in the Final game. Colombia opened the game with a 19-10 lead and led 8 points at the halftime. Venezuela replied with a 25-24 narrow win in the third period, but Colombia closed the game with the final 17-16 run. In the game for the third place Peru U-19 edged Ecuador U-19 89-50.
