Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Venezuelan PG Greivis Vasquez (197-PG-87) and his New Orleans Hornets scored a franchise-low mark of only 62 points and were stopped in their two-game winning streak by the Philadelphia Sixers, who took advantage of the absences of Anthony Davis (208-C-93), Austin Rivers (193-G-92) and Eric Gordon (193-G-88) due to injuries, to defeat the Hornets 77-62 at New Orleans Arena in Louisiana.

Vasquez, who's earned the starting PG nod, could not match his previous efforts against San Antonio, Utah and Chicago, and in 32:39 minutes finished up with 7 points, 7 assists, 3 rebounds, 5 turnovers and a foul, as he went 3-for-13 from the field, scoring 1 out of 4 three-point attempts in a night in which all of his teammates were simply out of sync, loosing 24 balls.

The Sixers only lost one ball in the last 24 minutes of play to turn the game into their hands, as five of their players scored 10 or more points, led by Evan Turner (201-G/F-88) and Jrue Holiday (191-PG-90) with 14 each. Al-Farouq Aminu (206-F-90) was the only one with 10-plus points for New Orleans, finishing up with 10 points and 16 rebounds.

Vasquez is now averaging 11.5 points, 9.0 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game in 4 regular season games so far. His next clash will be against the Charlotte Bobcats on November 9th.
