Uniceub/BRB stayed alive in the race for the South American League Finals. The Brazilian powerhouse rolled past Tiburones to improve at 1-1 record in Group E. They will now take on Pinheiros/Sky today in the decider. Tiburones fell at 0-2 record in the pool. Arthur Silva (199-F/G-82) came up with 26 points to pace the winners.
Uniceub/BRB started the game strongly. They exploded with 34 points in the first frame to gain a 17-point lead. The Brazilian team maintained the advantage throughout the second quarter. They established a 58:40 halftime advantage. Uniceub/BRB stayed red-hot offensively in the third term. They dropped 29 points to ensure a 25-point buffer heading into the final stanza. Tiburones outscored their opponents in the final term to sweeten the pill. Isaac Goncalves (193-F/G-90) and Alex Ribeiro (191-G-80, agency: Interperformances) finished with 15 points each for the winners. Axiers Sucre (200-F-78) responded with 23 points and 12 rebounds for the Venezuelan team. Alejandro Barrios (205-C-79) netted 21 points in the loss.

Brujos Izalco (Liga MB) strengthened their roster with addition of 31-year old Venezuelan forward Darwin Jaramillo (192-86). He played most recently at Toros in Venezuelan LPB league. But in 10 games he recorded just 1.5ppg last season. The last summer Jaramillo was tested by Guaiqueries (also in LPB).
