Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Venezuelan NBA PG Greivis Vasquez (197-PG-87, agency: Interperformances, college: Maryland) is showing the way for his countrymen as local talents currently playing overseas in pro leagues of Latin America, North America and Europe. Check out the latest updates and news on your favorite Venezuelan players

NBA
-Greivis Vasquez hasn't been able to shake things off for his New Orleans Hornets, who've lost 11 out of 15 games so far (4-11) in the NBA's 2012-2013 edition, though Vasquez is playing the best season of his career at this level, as a full time starter who averages 13.1 points, 8.7 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.

France
-John Cox (196-G-81, college: USF) of Paris Levallois in ProA ball, is coming off the bench frequently and trying to find his rythm with averages of 9.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in a rough season.

Spain
-Jhornan Zamora (196-G-89) of Palencia Baloncesto in LEB Gold, has been a solid option off the bench and ocassional starter for the coach. So far he averages 11.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in 9 games.
-Javier Roman (207-F/C-80), also playing in LEB Gold for Leyma Coruna Basket, is averaging 3.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game in 9 games so far.

Germany
-Angel Alexander Nelcha (205-C/F-68, college: Bloomsburg) has not stopped playing and is in his second full season for VFL 19 Limburg in a Regional League. After 9 regular season games, Nelcha is averaging 12.0 points per game.

Mexico
-Luis Bethelmy (200-F/C-86) of Halcones Rojos de Veracruz is back in bussiness after a long absence and is averaging 15.9 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game in 22 regular season games.
-Jose Vargas (195-G/F-82) recently joined Soles de Mexicali, the team were Venezuelan assistant coach Ronald Guillen works. So far, in 8 games, he averages 11.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
-Gregory Vargas (180-PG-86) of Halcones UV de Xalapa is currently on a temporary absence due to his mother health concerns back in Venezuela. So far, he averages 14.5 points, 7.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game in 19 regular season games.

Dominican Republic
-Edgar Lugo (189-G-82, college: Lehman) has finished playing for Parque Hosts at Baloncesto Superior de La Vega and has traveled back to Venezuela to join Guaros de Lara in its preseason trainings.

Peru
Roque Osorio (206-C-76, college: Fair Dickinson) has joined Club El Bosque both for Liga Suramericana and the recently started Liga Nacional (LNB). He has played in 2 of his teams 3 games and his team is undefeated. He's averaging 16.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game in those 2 games.

Colombia
Players Miguel Marriaga (205-C-84), Cesar Silva (190-G/F-81), Elides Pereira, Miguel Fernandez (194-F-92) and Adan Reyes (188-PG-83) won the championship in Copa Invitacional as players of Bucaros de Bucaramanga. They beat Guerreros de Bogota 3-1 in the Finals.

Uruguay
Jose Juan Bravo (202-C-86) left Defensor Sporting after playing 13 regular season games and averaging 7.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.4 blocks and 1.0 steals. He's now back with Bravos de Portuguesa in Venezuela's LNB.

Cocodrilos - Bucaneros 86-69 Cocodrilos de Caracas are named LPB champions. They overcame Bucaneros in the decisive seventh game of the championship series to conquer the title. The game was mostly controlled by Cocodrilos. Bucaneros managed to win third quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bucaneros - Cocodrilos 85-71 Bucaneros rallied past Cocodrilos to stay alive in LPB Grand Final series. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-71.
