He could not help the New Orleans Hornets (5-22) in their last game. Despite Vasquez's very good performance the New Orleans Hornets were edged 95-94 on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and making 11 passes. Vasquez also added 8 rebounds in 46 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was Hornets' 11th consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Vasquez has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 8.7apg, 2FGP: 42.6%, 3FGP: 36.3% and FT: 79.2% in the 27 games he played so far. Vasquez is currently a member of the Venezuelan senior national team.
