Traditionally, every week we bring you a list of the top performances of Venezuelans who are currently playing abroad.

Greivis Vasquez
Greivis Vasquez
#1. This week's number one is an international point guard Greivis Vasquez (197-87, agency: Interperformances, college: Maryland, currently plays in NBA), who plays in the NBA. He could not help the New Orleans Hornets (5-22) in their last game. Despite Vasquez's very good performance the New Orleans Hornets were edged 95-94 on the road by the Portland Trail Blazers. He had a double-double by scoring 23 points and making 11 passes. Vasquez also added 8 rebounds in 46 minutes on the court; quite an impressive performance considering it's only his third season in pro basketball. It was Hornets' 11th consecutive loss in a row. But this is still an early stage of the season and everything may happen. Vasquez has individually a very good year with high stats. He averages: 12.6ppg, 4.1rpg, 8.7apg, 2FGP: 42.6%, 3FGP: 36.3% and FT: 79.2% in the 27 games he played so far. Vasquez is currently a member of the Venezuelan senior national team.

John Cox

He led Paris-Levallois to an easy victory against the 11th-ranked Poitiers (5-7) crushing them 90-65 in the French ProA last Saturday. Cox scored 12 points and had 4 steals. Paris-Levallois (8-4) is placed second in the ProA. It was his team's third consecutive victory in a row. It's Cox's first season with the team. His overall stats this year are: 8.8ppg, 2.3rpg, 1.8apg, 2FGP: 47.3%, 3FGP: 43.5% and FT: 68.2%. Cox is a naturalized American. He is in the roster of the Venezuelan senior national team.
