Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Trotamundos de Carabobo started week 3 of its preseason for the upcoming 2017 edition of Venezuela's Liga Profesional de Baloncesto (LPB) with several players of the first team already at work, as guys like Javinger Vargas (202-C-90), Luis Carrillo (202-F-93), David Cubillan (181-PG-87), Dwight Lewis (197-SG-87), Pedro Chourio (186-PG-90), Alexander Morillo (180-PG-92) and recently acquired via trade Mike Keeling (185-G-95) reported to trainings.

Among the players that have been there since Day One are Rene Farias (188-G-86), Tomas Aguilera (198-F-77), Peter Kvietek (205-C-77), Henry Osal, Francisco Marquez (SF), Carlos Miranda (183-PG-90), Sam Shepherd (195-F/G) and rookies Jesus Parra and Eudes Angulo. Assistant coaches Jesus Cordovez and Alfredo Madrid are in charge alongside physical trainer Juan Diego Aular.

The team is yet to confirm if there will be a new head coach or if Cordovez will resume his 2015-2016 duties as head coach instead of moving to the assistant coach position.

"It's been very demanding, we're looking for our physical shape and rythm so we can be alright for the season. We're working on our resistance, some defensive aspects and some offensive aspects so we can create a solid base while we wait for a new season of our league. We're all commited as a team", said David Cubillan.

"I feel great, I can't wait for the season to start and I come here to give my best to the team because I'm well motivated. Playing in Ecuador helped my physical conditioning", said Javinger Vargas.

Vargas played in Ecuador alongside teammate Luis Carrillo.
