Windi
Graterol
Barquisimeto, Venezuela.- Venezuelan National Team player, PF Windi Graterol (204-C-86, agency: Pro Sports), was traded for the second time this year prior to the beginning of a new Liga Profesional (LPB) season (2017), as he was sent alongside PF-C Eliezer Montano (206-F/C-91) from Marinos de Anzoategui to Bucaneros de La Guaira for SF-PF Hector Romero (202-F/C-80, college: New Orleans) and PG Jesus Centeno (190-G-85), a couple of former Venezuelan NT players.

Graterol had arrived to Marinos in another blockbuster trade in mid January from Guaros de Lara for SF Jose Vargas (195-G/F-82, agency: Pro Sports). He's a 30-year old player, 2.06m tall. Bucaneros will be his fourth LPB organization in his pro career. He also played for Cocodrilos de Caracas.

Montano is a 25 year-old PF-C, 2.06m tall, with brief LPB experience coming off the bench for Marinos de Anzoategui. He spent the 2015-2016 season with Marinos and Toros de Aragua (via loan). He's also played as a foreign in leagues of Bolivia and Peru for the past couple of years.

For both Romero and Centeno it will be their second stint as players of Marinos. Romero did not play for Bucaneros in the recent 2017 edition of Liga de las Americas because they couldn't reach an agreement on his salary, prompting the possibility of a trade, even though the player had said his priority was to stay with La Guaira.

Romero, nicknamed "Pepito", won two LPB rings with Marinos back in 2005 and 2009, both times as the MVP of the Finals. He's an Anzoategui state native, a 37 year-old SF-PF who's also played for Trotamundos de Carabobo and Guaros de Lara in his LPB career. He also played in leagues of Israel, South Korea, Greece, Spain, Italy and Puerto Rico. He was a part of the NBA's Portland Trail Blazers team back in the 2006 Summer League in Las Vegas.

Centeno, nicknamed "Zancudo" won the LPB ring with Marinos back in 2005, as a loaned player by Cocodrilos de Caracas. He's a 31 year-old PG, 1.90m tall, with experience in leagues of Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador and Panama.
