Guaiqueries de Margarita (LPB) agreed terms with 32-year old Venezuelan ex-international swingman Francisco Centeno (201-100kg-85). It is actually his comeback to Porlamar as he has played here before. Centeno He started the season at AB Ancud in Chilean Liga Nacional. In 41 games he had very impressive stats: 20.1ppg, 7.1rpg, 2.0apg and 1.0spg this season. The last summer Centeno played at Guaros de Lara 2 (LNB). He helped them to make it to the final after they ended regular season as second best team. Quite impressive season as he was named to Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB 2nd Team.
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others Centeno won Venezuelan LNB championship title in 2008 and 2010. He was also voted Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB Player of the Year and Latinbasket.com All-Venezuelan LNB Domestic Player of the Year back in 2012.
Centeno was also a member of Venezuelan international program for some years. He played for Venezuelan Senior National Team between 2010 and 2012 and previously for U21 National Team in 2004.
Centeno also represented Venezuela at the FIBA 3x3 World Championships in Moscow (Russia) three years ago.
He is quite experienced player. Centeno's career allowed him to visit three different continents, while he played in four different countries. Centeno tasted the life as pro basketball player in Europe, Latin America and of course North America. He has played previously professionally in Colombia (Barrancabermeja Ciudad Futuro, Cangrejeros and Halcones), Mexico (Toros and Vaqueros), Spain (Blancos de Rueda) and Venezuela (Gaiteros, Tiburones and Bucaneros).

Edwin Mijares (ex Metropolitanos) agreed terms with AB Ancud - 12 days ago
Asociacion Basquetbol Ancud (Liga Nacional) strengthened their roster with addition of 24-year old Venezuelan international guard Edwin Mijares (186-94). He played recently at Metropolitanos in Venezuelan LNB II. Among other achievements Mijares' team made it to the LNB Semifinals for two years in a row (2016 and 2017).
