Leonardo
Berroteran
Experienced Leonardo Berroteran (192-F/G-81) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Comuna and that's him to receive a Latinbasket.com LNB Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 36-year old swingman had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds and three assists for Comuna in his team's victory, helping them to beat Aduaneros (#4, 10-8) 85-78. Comuna maintains the 5th position in Venezuelan LNB. Comuna is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 8-10 record. In the team's last game Berroteran had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. It was one of impressive evenings for him as usually he does not deliver so high stats. Berroteran has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in assists (4th best: 3.6apg) and averages solid 46.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was -year old Christian Marquez of Atleticos. Marquez impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 25 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Atleticos lost that game 66-94 to the higher-ranked Metropolitanos (#3, 11-9). Atleticos are still at the very bottom. 20 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Marquez is well-known by Atleticos fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was international center Luis Carrillo (206-C-93) of Aduaneros (#4). Carrillo scored 11 points and grabbed eleven rebounds (!!!). Despite Carrillo's great performance Aduaneros lost 78-85 to slightly lower-ranked Comuna (#5, 8-10). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Aduaneros needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 10 victories and 8 lost games. The season just started for Carrillo as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Anderson Morales (180-PG-92) of Comuna - 20 points and 6 rebounds
5. Alexander Morillo (180-PG-92) of Aduaneros - 15 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists
6. Grendy Correa) of Atleticos - 20 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists
7. Nelson Palacios (192-SF-92) of Metropolitanos - 11 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists
8. Jovanni Diaz (203-F-90) of Metropolitanos - 14 points and 6 rebounds
9. Javinger Vargas (202-C-90) of Aduaneros - 13 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists
10. Miguel Bolivar (205-C-92) of Comuna - 13 points and 10 rebounds

The Player of the week is chosen based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
