 The Quarterfinals come to the end in Brazilian Play-offs as two teams have already finished their series. Flamengo and Minas were first to reach the semis. The winner of the regular season Flamengo swept the series over CETAF/Garoto/UVV. At first the team won 90:77 at home and then had 79:72. In the third game Flamengo had a road win 70:97 as Marcelinho was unstoppable with 35 points for the winners. Eduardo Duda Machado (197-F-82) produced 18 and Coloneze Fernando had 14.

 Three games were disputed today in Nacional Masculino Pitagoras Minas defeated Saldanha da Gama 90-74 best scorers were Maozao 20 Points by the winners and Costa 19 Points by Saldanha. Universo won over UTC Uberlandia 89-70 Arthur with 20 Points was the best by Universo and Olivinha with 15 points by Uberlandia. Flamengo Petrobras obtained a victory over Cetaf Garoto 79-72 Marcelinho with 21 Points was the highest scorer by Flamengo and Jefferson with 17 Points was the best by Cetaf Garoto.

 J.P. Batista (206-F/C-81, college: Gonzaga) and his Barons/LMT entered the LBL Final series after beating VEF Riga 102:83 at home in the third game of the semifinal clash. Barons got to more aggressive start and led 32:21 at the first intermission. VEF struggled to limit the hosts offense and found themselves trailing by 24 points at the long break. Finally VEF adjusted their tempo and cut the gap by 3 points at the end of three quarters.

 The regular season is going to the end and there are three more games left before the Quarterfinals. Flamengo/Petrobras remains on top of the standings with 18-2 record. The last game however brought a negative result for the leader as the team lost to UTC/Uberlandia 81:85. The latter opened the game with 22:21 win and stayed even at 42 at the half time. Flamengo/Petrobras went on a lead after the third quarter taking 22:15 in the period and looked forward to finish the camapign.

 The 2008 National Masculino is near to end the regular season and the first 8 teams will advance to quarters finals 1st vs 8th, 2nd vs 7th, 3th vs 6th, 4th vs 5th right we know the eight teams but the order in the table can change next week with the last games to complete the season. We will up date statistics of the regular season with every of the last games. The 8 teams are keeping in shape for the next round that is coming soon.

 Flamengo/Petrobras tops the group with 17-1 record. In the latest game the favorite of Brazilian league overcame FTC EAD 93:71. It was an easy start of the game for the hosts as they won the opening quarter with 22:13. Flamengo/Petrobras improved to 49:33 at the half time and it was clear that the guests would not recover. Marcelinho led the winners with 21 points. Amiel Morejon (202-F-76) and de Souza Alirio followed him with 12 points each. Roberto top-scored for the visitors with 22 points.
