 The ExSal Gorillas took a clear win on tuesday night, 95-84 over Cosmos. Jerry Echenique (201-C-79, college: High Point) was the game top performer, with 28 points for Cosmos, in which made his debut the new import, Cornelius Roberts (198-F-77, college: Norfolk St.), who replaces Akbar Lawson. The best scorer in ExSal was Oscar Rivera (186-G-80), who scored 21 points.

 Only San Marcos did not advance to the Liga Superior-Apertura playoffs. In the last game of the Regular season, UTEC prevailed over Cosmos 77-66, with Pedro Salazar (204-C-72) leading the way with 23 points and Jose Antonio Orellana (189-F-87) hitting the three pointer thad gave the win to UTEC. The Final standings are 1. ExSal 2. Denver 3. UTEC 4. Cosmos The first games will be played, the pairings are: 6:30 pm EXSAL vrs COSMOS 8:00 pm UTEC vrs DENVER

 Universidad Tecnolgica-UTEC defeated San Marcos 94-71 in the last day of LSB action. The main factor of the win was new import Pedro Salazar (204-C-72), who was very effective under the boards and ended the game with 28 points. Darwin Carter (183-G-76, college: Angelo St.) scored 21 points in losing effort for San Marcos.

 UTEC import Jorge Taton wasn' t aable to recover from his injury, and has been replaced by veteran Pedro Salazar (204-C-72). Cosmos released Guatemalan Gerson Duarte (202-C-83) and Enrique Samayoa (193-F-82), who had played only few games with the team, and replaced them with Panamanian Akbar Lawson (196-G/F-81), Hondurean Jerry Echenique (201-C-79, college: High Point) and Ricardo Amaya (191-G-84, agency: Tank Sports), who is GUA-ESA, because his mom is from El Salvador.

 In the last LSB round, Denver 'Pumas' defeated 100-90 Cosmos, securing teh second place in the table. Another time more, Marcus Robinson (198-F, college: N.Georgia) was the MVP in Denver, with 20 points at the end, while Edwin Lopez (183-G/F-85) scored 18 pts in Cosmos and Giovanni Guardado (192-F-76) and Chester Davis (187-G/F-77) played well before suffering game-ending injuries.

 Import center Michael Pierrot (208-C-84) left San Marcos, to pursue a new opportunity (there are rumors he could join Felix Perez Cardozo, Paraguay National league). His replacement will be veteran Nick Sheppard (211-C-76, college: Pepperdine), last at the ABA Maywood Buzz

 In the last round of games, Universidad Tecnolgica (UTEC) easily defeated Cosmos, 103-81, as they contained Cosmos' top scorer, Edwin Lopez (183-G/F-85). Cosmos' best performer in the game was Mario Flores (183-G-85), who scored 15 pts, while UTEC was led by Ernesto Oglivie (-F-88) who scored 31.  The new of the week is the re-birth of Cosmos. After coming back to the success some days ago, the team coached by Ernesto Rodriguez , in fact, won again, this time 95-91 over UTEC, showing that all its domestic stars are in good shape. Edwin Lopez (183-G/F-85) led all the scorers with 28 points, the best in UTEC was Panamanian Ernesto Oglivie (-F-88). In the other game of teh last night, Denver defeated San Marcos 100-82.

 Liga Superior team San Marcos decided to replace USA import Kenya Carruthers (201-F-79, college: Ks Wesleyan), who left the team last week, with Belizea National Team member Darwin Carter (183-G-76, college: Angelo St.). The player travelled from Los Angeles to San Salvador in time to play the last game of the LSB, but his debut was so-so, because he managed to score only 7 points before being fouled-out.
