The final score was 134-55, and seven Mexican players ended the game in double digits. Romel Beck (202-G/F-82, college: UNLV) was the best in Game 5, with 24 pts, 3 rebounds and 1 steal, and, for sure, was one of the best players in all the COCABA Tournment. |

| |  | Team Mexico ended undefeated the 2007 edition of the COCABA Championship, largely defeating the home team El Salvador in Day 5 . The final score was 134-55, and the top guns in Mexico were Anthony Lever-Pedroza (191-G-79, agency: Edge Sports, college: Oregon) and Romel Beck (202-G/F-82, college: UNLV), with 22 and 24 points, respectively. The only player to end in double digits In the home team was Miguel Banos (186-F/C-84), with 11. The other team that advances to Centrobasket is Costa Rica, winner in the last day over Honduras 79-61, while the surprise of the Day 5 was Guatemala, winner over Nicaragua 80-64. | |  | In the fourth game of the COCABA Championship, played yesterday afternoon in San Salvador, Team Mexico overwhelmed Honduras 145-43, led by Omar Quintero (183-G-81, agency: Paris Global Sports, college: S.Nazarene) with 21 pts, Victor Mariscal (198-F-72) with 20 and Romel Beck (202-G/F-82, college: UNLV) with 19. William Waterhouse (200-C-75) was the best in Honduras, with 12. The last game of the competition is scheduled for tonight vs. home team El Salvador, and the superior size and experience of Mexico allow to forecast another easy win. |

 | Day 3 recap: Only Mexico is undefeated | |

| |  | Afer that Mexico humiliated Guatemala 125-69, Costa Rica defeated Nicaragua, and El Salvador needed of an overtime to prevail 79-72 over Honduras. The regular time, in fact, ended 66-66, and the veterans Miguel Banos (186-F/C-84) and Arturo Mata (183-G/F-71) led the home team in the overtime. Banos was the game top scorer with 16, Mata added 12 pts, and Schacun Malave (200-F/C-79, college: New York Tech) scored 13 pts and was very important under the boards. William Waterhouse (200-C-75) led Honduras with 15 pts, Rony Palacios (190-G-77) Selvin Connor (200-F-74) and Walter Rodriguez added 12 pts each. The standings are now as follows: 1.
