The last game of the classification round for Group B of Liga Centroamericana, favoured team Icevic Tegucigalpa prevailed over SAT-Cybertech with a strong victory. In the previous game, Icevic Tegucigalpa produced its lowest score for this tournament. But this time, the Hondurian team transformed their paced play into a much more dynamic and effective one, puzzling SAT-Cybertech since the match began, and taking the lead to never let it go until the end of regulation. Both teams are already classified for the Final Four of the tournament, which starts next week in Cancun, Mexico.

| |  | Icevic prevailed two times over Nacionales de El Salvador in another Liga Sudamericana series, played in Tegucigalpa, in the Universidad Pedagogica Gymnasium. Game 1 ended 85-76, the final score of Game 2 was 79-74. Imports James Parker (183-G-82, college: Robert Morris) and Enrique Huie (191-F-73) led Icevic as usual, while Pedro Salazar (204-C-72) patrolled the boards and Jose Lopez (G-73) quarterbacked well his team. Bob Hunter (193-F-76) scored 24 pts to lead Nacionales, and new players Mauricio Lahud (176-G-84) added 16. The team from El Salvador was limited by the injuries suffered by Eduardo Aguilar, Eduardo Garcia and Carlos Espinal, and did not receive the expected boost from the addition of new import players, Ernesto Oglivie (-F-88) and Jorge Taton (200-F/C-81). Icevic will travel to Guatemala the next weekend, to play the last series of the Group B, that will be decisive for the final standigs. |

 | Nacional de Ingenieros withdraw from Liga Centroamericana | |

| |  | At the last time, Hondurean team Nacional de Ingenieros - Tegucigalpa, that is also the reigning champion of the Central America Championship for Clubs, decided not to participate to the first edition of CentroAmerican League, due to organizing problems. The Liga is now made of two Groups of three teams, and its format is easier than announced: the first two teams of each group will advance to the Final Four competition, scheduled for mid-April. |

| |  | On Thursday, February 28, will start in Hoduras the first edition of the CentroAmerican League for Clubs, organized by FIBA-America. Two teams from Honduras will participate to this competition, Nacional de Ingenieros - Tegucigalpa and Icevic Tegicigalpa, and their opponents will be a team from Nicaragua, Jaguares de la UAM (titleholders of Fupade Coast decided not to compete due to lack of financial coverage), SAS from Guatemala, a team called 'Nacionales de El Salvador', Copenao-Liceo de Costa Rica From Costa Rica and Pioneros de Quintana Roo-Cancun, from Mexico. Another team from Yucatan, Mexico, withdrew from the tournment some days ago, it too probably due to economic problems. The teams will be divided into two qualifying groups, the 'A', with Pioneros, Liceo de Costa Rica, Nacional de Ingenieros - Tegucigalpa and Jaguares and the 'B', with Nacionales, SAS and Icevic Tegicigalpa. The teams of every group will meet themseves in round-robin format, playing a game each at home, and the best two teams of Group A and the first of the Group B will advance directly to the Final Four, named 'Super 4'. The fourth team for the Final Four will came out from an additional series between the third placed of Group A and the second placed of Group B |

| |  | Top Honduran team Nacional de Ingenieros is hosting in Tegucigalpa the 2007 edition of the Central America Championship for Clubs. The team is competing in male and female tournments. The male roster of the Ingenieros is strenghtened by two USA players, Cornelius Roberts (198-F-77, college: Norfolk St.) and Kevin Sowell (190-G-81, agency: ABE! Sports and Entertainment). In the first game of the competition, they dedfeated Fupade Coast 78-70. The "Engineers" won the National League 2007 some weeks ago, defeating for the first time in six years the traditional contenders of Policia Nacional. |

His Eiffel Towers are on top of the National league standings and show a perfect from so far. Recently they played three games in Eredivisie and Travis Young was impressive in each of them. In Round 27 Eiffel Towers overcame Woon!Airs 118:92. Honduras guard started the game and produced 13 points (4/9 FG, 3/6 3pt, 2/2 FT), 7 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals in 29 minutes. In the next Round Eiffel Towers visited Rotterdam and only the last quarter spur 13:17 helped the league leaders to celebrate a narrow victory 78:77. Young contributed 21 points (8/18 FG, 3/9 3pt, 2/2 FT), 5 rebounds and 3 assists in 35 minutes. On March 29 Eiffel Towers took on one of their main rivals Matrixx Magixx at home and were unable to succeed. Magixx proved stronger in fantastically even performance after all 4 frames ended in a draw and Matrixx Magixx managed to secure a 104:99 win only in overtime. Travis Young top scored for Eiffel Towers with 20 points (6/13 FG, 2/7 3pt, 6/8 FT). He also posted 6 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal in 33 minutes of intensive action. Despite the loss Eiffel Towers remained on top of the league ladder with 34-3 record. Eiffel Towers will next take on Hanzevast-Capitals today. Meanwhile Travis Young averages 16.1 points, 3.4 assists and 3.5 rebounds per 27.9 minutes in this season. |
