 Forward Demeatrio Wade (193-F), formerly of Excelsior High School, was recently named to the All Showcase Team at the IBS-Premier Spring Showcase; an annual college exposure event for college prospect from various states. The 64 senior from Decatur Christian School in llinois, was selected in the top 5 out of the 80 prospects who participated in the event.

 Tulsa, OK (4-8-2008) - The University of Tulsa fell behind 16-2 to start the game, but staged a remarkable comeback to capture the first ever College Basketball Invitational championships, beating Bradley University 70-64 in the final game of the best-of-three series. Sophomore center, Jerome Jordan, just missed a triple-double after finishing with 11 points, 12 rebounds, and eight blocked shots to earn tournament MVP honors. Tulsa ended the season 25-14.

 Peoria, IL (4-3-2008) - The last thing Bradley University wanted was to see the University of Tulsa celebrating on its home court, so they came out and used a stifling defense to shut down Tulsa's leading scorers - Jerome Jordan and Ben Uzoh - to force a game 3 back in Tulsa tomorrow night. At stake is the inaugural College Basketball Invitational championship which is now down to a winner-take-all stage.

 Peoria, IL (4-2-2008) - The University of Tulsa will try to end their late season charge on a high note tonight when they go in search of the inaugural College Basketball Invitational (CBI) title. Tulsa, a program rich in basketball history with 13 conference crowns and two NIT titles, won game one of the best-of-three series on Monday night 73-68, behind Jerome Jordan's 18 points and 13 rebounds.

 Decatur, IL (4-2-2008) - Senior forward Demeatrio Wade, formerly of Excelsior High School, ended a brilliant career at Decatur Christian School by winning the slam dunk contest at the Illinois All-Star Game over the weekend. Wade then went on to score 20 points and haul down 11 rebounds in the game but his team went down 126-120 in a classic shootout. Next season Wade will take his show to a college somewhere in the United States, but the college is yet to be revealed.

 Tulsa, OK (3-28-2008) - The University of Tulsa might not have been invited to the NCAA 'March Madness' tournament, but so what. Tulsa is making up for their exclusion in the inaugural College Basketball Invitational Tournament, a run that has them contesting the finals next Monday.

 Milwaukee, WI (3-27-2008) - The East All-Stars were the underdogs, but last night that didn't matter as they defeated the West All-Stars 107-102 in the 31st Annual McDonald's All-American High School basketball game. Louisville-bound Samardo Samuels, who finished with eight points on 3-of-8 shooting, was cited as the most impressive player of the week by fellow players Tyreke Evans (MVP of the game), Mike Rosario and Willie Warren.
