 The Panamanian Basketball Federation (FEPABA) released the list of the 21 players convocated at the Panama National Team Camp, to start today at 6:00 pm at the Gimnasio de la Escuela Profesional Isabel Herrera Obalda (E.P.I.H.O.) en Punta Pacfica. The true noverlty is Ernesto Oglivie (204-F-88, agency: DR. Carlos Sifuentes), MVP of the CBS 2008.  Caimanes de Rio Abajo are the new Champions of CBS 2008 winning the Final Game over Navieros de Colon who were defending their title 111-97. Caimanes ended the season undefeated making a new record for the CBS league.Alfonso Stoute with 25 Points, Ernesto Oglivie and Richard Newball with 20 Points were the best by the Champions and Anibal Salazar Jr was the best by Navieros de Colon.

 Navieros de Colon who defeated Magnates de Caldonia in Semifinals 104-85 game where the top scorer was Joel Munoz (179-G-80, agency: HM Sports Agency) with 30 Points. Caimanes de Rio Abajo won last night over Canguros de Parque Lefevre 120-109 and advance with Navieros to the Final next Sunday. Mauro Oglivie with 30 Points ws the best by the winners and Akbar Lawson 24 Points and Daniel Munoz (178-G.84: PanaSport ) with 20 Points by Canguros de Parque Lefevre.

 In the CBS All Stars Game team A won over team B 89-82 Ernesto Oglivie was the MVP of the game. In the Slam Dunks Championship Carlos Hoy won the competition over Jonathan Romero and Joel Munoz (179-G-80, agency: HM Sports Agency) won the 3 Points shots Competition over Fabio Gomez.

 After almost two months of CBS 2008 action, Joel Munoz (179-G-80, agency: HM Sports Agency) of Magnates is again the league top scorer, with 267 points in 11 games (26,7 ppg), followed by Jonathan King (187-G-90) (Toros) with 228 (22,8 ppg), while Orlando Ortega (196-F-81) of Caimanes is again the league top rebounder, with 7,6 rpg and Alberto Hinds (-G) is the league best assist man with 4,6 apg, see here down all the individual stats leaders: BEST SCORERS: 1.

 Navieros de Colon won over Magnates de Calidonia 81-73 in a disputed game with this victory Navieros is in 2nd place of the table with 6-3 same record of Magnates but they have won the 2 games against Magnates. Yosimar Stewart 19 Points, Juan Gondola 14 Points, Enrique Phillips and Jamar Johnson both with 13 Points were the best scorers by the winners and Alejandro Cajar 16 Points, Ricardo Yearwood 14 Points and Adolfo Alvarado with Joel Munoz (179-G-80, agency: HM Sports Agency) 13 Points.

 Josimar Ayarza was not in attendance this past week at the Jerry Mullen top 120 camp in Tulsa to face NJCAA competition, but he will have a season's worth of opportunities when he suits up for the Arizona Western men's basketball team for the 2008/2009 season. Ayarza has signed a letter of intent to play for the matadors. Ayarza played his freshman season at Cuesta College in California where he lead the team in scoring and recieved recognition for his efforts.
