  Luis Ramirez (195-G-73), is a former player of San Marcos who used to play en the late 90s in the Peruvian League. He was one of the best 3 point shooters in Peru, and helps his team to be one of the most complicated teams at that time in Peru. Like all amateurs players here in Peru, he also studied in San Marcos and traveled to Europe, to Holland, to study a MBA in The Hague University were he also continue his love for the game and coach some teams.

 Peruvian Regatas Lima completed their Liga Sudamericana campaign winless. The Lima outfit played in Group A of the tournament alongside Boca Juniors from Argentina, Cocodrilos de Caracas from Venezuela and Brazilian Universo/BRB. The games were played in Caracas with two teams making their way into the quarterfinals of the competition. Regatas Lima tipped off their campaign against the hosting Cocodrilos.

 Rodrigo Masias (206-C-81) former center of Regatas and one of the best interior players that Peru have, had traveled to Spain, to continue with his post graduated studies. He is un architect from the University of Ricardo Palma. He had played for Peru and Regatas Lima in South American championships, and like most players in Peru, he has a career and he has traveled to develop his skills in his professional field. From here we wish Chiqui the best in all his projects.

  Regatas Lima defeated 70-62 Real Club, last Friday, to become the 2007 Peruvian Champion. With this result Regatas won the series 2-0, having finished the year with a 30-2 record, (90%). Real used their changing defense, trying to slow down Regatas by making a pressing all court zone, and changing to individual defense from time to time.

 Regatas Lima (29-2) defeated yesterday 66-57 Real Club (24-7) in a very intense and emotional match, that was decided in the last part of the game by the unforced errors that Real made, and in the other side because of the good ending of the game that Regatas did, forcing Real to make mistakes and taking care of the ball in the offense. In Regatas Lima Mohamadou Diop played a very good match, making several key plays that helped Regatas to stay in the game.

  Yesterday began the playoffs of The Superior Tournament. In the first game Real Club defeated Fap 49-46 in a very defensive and low scoring game. Then Regatas Lima crashed Militar 95-63 showing to be the favorite for this playoffs. Next games are this Friday in the Dibos Coliseum, where Regatas and Real could secure their series with a victory.

 Regatas Lima (12-0) and Real Club (11-2) secure the number 1 and 2 spot for the playoffs with their last week's victories over Misiones (105-46), Inmaculada (80-71). Real defeated Circolo (59-36), San Marcos (58-50) and lost to Inmaculada (57-63). This Friday Regatas will face Fap in a very important match for Fap; they could secure a spot to play the playoffs semifinals.

  In a very defensive and low scoring game Real Club defeated Escuela Fap (47-42), this could be a first round playoff match. Two teams that are characterize by playing a lot of defense, trying to maintain the opponent below their usual scoring average.

  Regatas Lima defeated Real Club 59-57 (35-26 first half) in a very emotional game that gives Regatas the edge on the standings of the superior tournament. Real stop Regatas from reaching their usual amount of points and forced them to their stile of play-running madness- by doing a zone trap risk defense that made Regatas missed open shots and balls.
