 Marques Lewis (203-F-83, college: UAB) scored 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds while Darryl Dora (206-F-85, agency: Warren Sports International, college: Texas Tech) added 19 points and 11 rebounds when Athens, the LUB leader beat Sayago 97-76 for the 12th round. For Sayago Brandon Hassell scored 14 points and toolk 9 rebounds and Howard Wilkerson netted 13.

 Four new import players were signed to play the LUB tournament. Joe Webb (201-G/F-82, agency: Strategic Sports, college: Bellevue) and Amaury Filion (206-C/F-81) were signed by Bohemios, where Darryl Butterfield was replaced. The deal with Filion was delayed las week becasue the player was injured. Cordon inked Andrew Jackson (185-G) replacing Stan Blackmon. Howard Wilkerson (198-F-84, college: Wofford) arrived today to play for Sayago, replacing Charlie Burgess.

 Bigua, the last LUIB champions, defeated Hebraica, the 2007 runner up, 85-66 ate the beginning of the 12th round of the Uruguayan League. For Bigua, Kevin Young (206-C-84, college: Missouri) scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Charles Thomas (203-F-86, agency: CGL Sports, college: Arkansas) netted 13 and took 15 rebounds.
