The United States are champions of the world once more. Mikaylah Williams (183-G-2005) drilled the game-winner to edge Australia 21-20 in a nerve-shredding final, lifting the USA to their fourth FIBA 3x3 World Cup women's title at Parade Square in Warsaw.
Williams, named tournament MVP, saved her biggest moment for last, settling a one-point thriller to add the 2026 crown to the Americans' previous triumphs in 2012, 2014 and 2023. For Australia, the defeat was still a landmark: they had reached the World Cup final for the first time in their history, and their Amy Atwell (183-G-1998, college: Hawaii) finished as the tournament's leading scorer with 49 points, earning a place on the Team of the Tournament.
The Netherlands took bronze, beating Azerbaijan 21-14 behind Noortje Driessen (178-SG-1999), who joined Williams and Atwell on the Team of the Tournament.
The 10th edition of the World Cup played out before more than 100,000 fans across seven days of sold-out sessions in Warsaw. With Los Angeles 2028 on the horizon, the competition next moves to Singapore in 2027.
