Guyana made light work of CPTSA Wings in a blow-out affair 72 32 to Sunday night (March 18) capture the 12th Annual Gillian Brazier Basketball Championship title for the first time in their two appearances in the tournament.
Both teams started the first quarter cold, but Wings took a 5 pts lead but could not hold on due to injury of two key-players: Amanda Edwards and Keshorna Aubrey.
Guyana took over the reins at the end of the quarter, and there was no looking back for them.
For Guyana: Shantelle Nelson sank 18pts; Nyota Peters 17pts; Tamera Hunter 12pts.
For CPTSA Wings: Robertine Frederick 13pts; Kennesia Cabral 10pts.
