Ronald
Lucas III
25-year old guard Ronald Lucas III (198-G-93) had a great game in the last round for league's best team Baldwin Braves and receives a Interperformances Player of the Week award for round 4.
He had the game-high 35 points adding six rebounds and two assists for Baldwin Braves in his team's victory, helping them to beat Rebels (#9, 1-4) 97-86. It allowed Baldwin Braves to take over top position in the Antiguan league. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Baldwin Braves already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Lucas III had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Baldwin Braves, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Ronald Lucas III averages just after three games 22.0ppg, 6.0rpg and 4.3apg. Worth to mention Lucas III played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

Second best performed player last round was Brian Holmes (185-G-91). He is American guard in his first season at Baldwin Braves. In the last game Holmes recorded impressive double-double of 21 points and 11 assists. Of course Baldwin Braves cruised to a 97-86 relatively comfortable win over the lower-ranked Rebels (#9, 1-4). This victory allowed Baldwin Braves to move up to 1st position in the standings. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 3 games without any defeat. Holmes is a newcomer at Baldwin Braves and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to Kareem Blair of Rebels (#9). Blair scored 14 points and grabbed fourteen rebounds (!!!). Despite Blair's great performance Rebels lost 86-97 to the league's current leader Baldwin Braves (#1, 3-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Rebels can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have rather bad season and 1-4 record places them close to the bottom of the standings. Too bad for Blair he does not play for a better team. But maybe if he did, his season stats would not be that high. Blair has a very solid season. In 5 games in Antigua he scored 12.0ppg.

Other top performing players last week:
4. Xavier Meade (G) of Ottos - 21 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
5. Ishaan Peets) of HS Outlaws - 28 points and 7 rebounds
6. Toriano Matthew (F) of Rebels - 17 points and 4 rebounds
7. Troy Vasco (196-G) of Ottos - 14 points and 5 rebounds
8. Darius Richards (G) of HS Outlaws - 8 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
9. Gija George (G) of Rebels - 8 points and 9 rebounds
10. Jamaul Williams (G) of HS Outlaws - 8 points and 18 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3* (REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4* (2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3* (2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3* (3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Interperformances. Interperformances is a full-service agency specializing in the representation of professional athletes the world-over.
