Saltibus' double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Guard Jayzee Saltibus (G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's best team LJ Northside Stingerz and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
He had a double-double of 12 points and 20 rebounds, while his team beat Flyers (9-1) 55-45. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Stingerz to take over top position in the Antiguan league. Stingerz has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Saltibus had a remarkable 62.5% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Stingerz, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Saltibus has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 12.4rpg).

Second best performed player last round was Kim Casey (G) of All Saints Slam. He is a guard in his first season at Slam. In the last game Casey recorded an impressive double-double of 12 points and 16 rebounds. Bad luck as Slam lost that game 52-78 to slightly higher-ranked Ottos (#4, 3-7). Slam are still at the very bottom. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Slam managed to get this year. Casey is a newcomer at Slam and despite he is not a team leader yet, every game he becomes more reliable player. Hopefully performances like the last one will happen more often.

Third place about best performers goes to center Morlon Davis (C) of Ottos Full Throttle (#4). Davis scored 22 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Davis' great performance the Ottos lost 61-70 to slightly lower-ranked Spanish Heat (#5, 2-8). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Ottos not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 7 games, recording just three victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Davis could try to bring Ottos' a little bit higher in the standings. Davis has individually a great season in Antigua. After 10 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 11.6ppg (9th best) and rebounds with 9.1rpg (9th best). He also has 2.7spg, 2.2bpg and a FGP of 52.5%.
