ABBA Round 2 (Regular Season): Spanish Heat beats Slam in the most crucial game of the week

There were only 2 rounds played so far and it's still very beginning of the Regular Season in ABA. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

An exciting game was played in . Spanish Heat faced Slam. Host Spanish Heat defeated guests from 81-76. Spanish Heat forced 26 Slam turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Steven Matthew who had a double-double by scoring 29 points and 10 rebounds. Danny Perez chipped in 30 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. Dominican guard Shawn Thomas produced 9 points and 29 rebounds for the guests. Slam's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Spanish Heat are looking forward to face Flyers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Slam will play against Potters S. and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
The game in was also worth to mention about. Potters S. played at the court of Stingerz. Potters S. defeated Stingerz 89-76. The former international forward Cohen Desouza (201-1994) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 5 assists. Keroi Lee contributed with 21 points, 13 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Potters S.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Guard Tehran Zachariah replied with 26 points for Stingerz. Potters S. will play against Slam in the next round. Stingerz will play against Ottos and hopes to get back on the winning track.

Flyers - DA-Project 91-47

The game with biggest result difference took place in . Local Flyers outscored DA-Project 91-47 on Saturday night. Flyers dominated down low during the game scoring 78 of its points in the paint compared to DA-Project's 24. Flyers forced 28 DA-Project turnovers and outrebounded them 61-39 including a 38-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international swingman T-Shawn Lewis (193-2002) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Xavier Meade chipped in 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Flyers players scored in double figures. Sean Nicholas responded with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds and the former international forward Bryan Matthew (196-1976, college: Iona) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds. There was no surprise when Ottos were defeated on the road by Lava SSW 75-62 on Sunday. Lava SSW forced 27 Ottos turnovers and outrebounded them 61-43 including a 42-31 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Kebo Orford had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Zuri Nesbitt chipped in 12 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. Guard Warren Bogle responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and guard Akeem Davis scored 16 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lava SSW will meet at home DA-Project in the next round. Ottos will play against Stingerz and hope to win that game.
