Kareem Edwards claims Antiguan ABBA weekly honour

Experienced International Guard Kareem Edwards (193-G-1990) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Potters Steelers and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 34-year old guard had a double-double of 35 points and 17 rebounds, while his team beat DA-Project (#7, 1-3) 70-62. It allowed Potters S. to consolidate first place in the Antiguan ABBA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Potters S. already had a very good start winning all 6 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Edwards had a remarkable 55.6% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Potters S., being already a very valuable addition to the team. Edwards has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (7th best: 19.2ppg) and averages solid 2.0bpg,2.7spg and 51.4% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was Sean Nicholas (G ) of DA-Project. Nicholas impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 31 points and 20 rebounds. Of course he led DA-Project to another comfortable win 83-66 over slightly higher-ranked Stingerz (#5, 2-3) being unquestionably team leader. DA-Project's 7th position in the standings has not changed. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory DA-Project managed to get this year. Nicholas is one of the most experienced players at DA-Project and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.3ppg (#2). He also registered 17.7 boards per game.

The third best performed player last round was another Potters S.'s star - international forward Cohen Desouza (201-F-1994). Desouza scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). He was another key player of Potters Steelers, helping his team with a 84-81 win against #2 ranked Flyers in a game of the week. Potters S. started extremely well this year. They recorded 6 victories without losing a single game. Desouza turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. Desouza has a great season in Antigua. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.3ppg (4th best), rebounds with 12.0rpg (7th best) and assists with 4.5apg (7th best).
