The most interesting game of round 6 was a home defeat of 6th ranked Stingerz (2-5) to fifth ranked Slam (3-4) 77-69 in the game for the fifth place. Slam forced 21 Stingerz turnovers and outrebounded them 60-42 including a 36-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guard Iornie Joseph had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 19 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Keaddy Martin chipped in 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was Jaheem James with 26 points and 4 assists. Slam maintains fifth position with 3-4 record. Stingerz lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixth place with five games lost. They share the position with Lava SSW.
Very important is a home loss of third ranked Spanish Heat (4-3) against fourth ranked DA-Project (4-3) on Thursday night. Host Spanish Heat was defeated by DA-Project in a tough game at home 52-57. T-shawn Lewis notched a double-double by scoring 29 points and 14 rebounds to lead the effort and Bryan Matthew supported him with 11 points and 17 rebounds. Even 21 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists by guard Steven Matthew did not help to save the game for Spanish Heat. DA-Project have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with defeated Spanish Heat.
