Iornie Joseph (G) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for All Saints Slam and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 13.
The guard had a double-double of 21 points and 30 rebounds, while his team edged out Ottos (#8, 2-12) 98-97. Slam is placed at 4th position in Antiguan ABBA. Slam is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 6-6 record. Joseph just recently signed at Slam, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Joseph has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in rebounds (4th best: 14.0rpg) and averages solid 2.6spg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was guard Akeem Davis (G) of Ottos Full Throttle. Davis impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 34 points and 18 rebounds. Bad luck as Ottos was edged by the higher-ranked Slam (#4, 6-6) 98-97. Ottos are still at the very bottom. 12 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Ottos managed to get this year. Davis is one of the most experienced players at Ottos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was another Ottos' star - Morlon Davis (C). Davis showcased his all-around game by recording 8 points, 20 rebounds (!!!) and 9 assists in the last round. Despite Davis' great performance the Ottos Full Throttle lost 97-98 to the higher-ranked Slam (#4, 6-6). But his team cannot count on just these two top stars as they also need help of the other teammates. Ottos can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have extremely bad season and 2-12 record places them at the very bottom of the standings. Davis has individually a great season in Antigua. After 14 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 6.1apg (2nd best).

Other top performing players last week:
4. Cohen Desouza (201-F-1994) of Potters S. - 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists
5. Mali Newton (G) of Ottos - 19 points and 14 rebounds
6. Marlon Charles (186-G-1976) of Potters S. - 15 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists
7. Andrew Venture (G) of Slam - 9 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists
8. Humroy Wright (G) of Slam - 42 points and 13 rebounds
9. Sergio Symister (G) of Slam - 18 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Delonte Phillip (G) of DA-Project - 14 points and 12 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)

The Player of the Week awards are presented by Hoops Agents. Hoops Agents is the most complete website about the agencies and players they represent.
