Meade's 20 points and 8 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

Guard Xavier Meade (G) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Flyers Basketball and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had the game-high 20 points adding eight rebounds and three assists for Flyers in his team's victory, helping them to beat Lava SSW (#4, 1-1) 94-88. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Flyers is placed at 2nd position in Antiguan league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Flyers won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Meade had a remarkable 71.4% from 2-point range. He has many years of experience at Flyers, through which he has constantly improved. Meade has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 20.0ppg) and averages solid 4.0spg and 71.4% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Joshua Minner (198-F-1990) of Lava Smoke Shop Warriors. He is American forward in his first season at Lava SSW. In the last game Minner recorded an impressive double-double of 27 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Lava SSW lost that game 88-94 to Flyers (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Minner is one of the most experienced players at Lava SSW and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 28.5ppg (#1). His other stats are also decent: 7.5rpg and 5.0apg.

Third place about best performers goes to swingman T-Shawn Lewis (193-F/G-2002) of DA-Project (#5). Lewis scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds (!!!). Despite Lewis' great performance the DA-Project lost 66-67 to Ottos (#3, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of DA-Project not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Lewis could try to bring DA-Project's a little bit higher in the standings. Lewis has individually a great season in Antigua. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 26.5ppg (4th best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (9th best).
