American Forward Joshua Minner (198-F-1990) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Lava Smoke Shop Warriors, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 35-year old player was the main contributor (30 points, four rebounds and six assists) to his team's victory, helping them to outclass, the league's bottom-ranked team Navigators (#7, 0-2) with 30-point margin 100-70. Lava SSW is placed at 4th position in Antiguan ABBA. Lava SSW is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. In the team's last game Minner had a remarkable 91.7% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Lava SSW and just after two games he already turned to be a very valuable addition to the team. Former Mid-America Christian University star has very solid stats this year. Minner is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.5ppg. Minner is in league's top in assists (6th best: 5.0apg) and averages impressive 77.8% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Nick Strawter (193-G-1997) of Ottos Full Throttle. Strawter had a very good evening with a triple-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists. Of course he led Ottos to another comfortable win outscoring Red Hawks (0-1) 105-80. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Strawter is one of the most experienced players at Ottos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Ottos' star - guard Danny Perez (G). Perez got into 30-points club by scoring 33 points in the last round. He was another key player of Flyers Basketball, helping his team with a 105-80 easy win against Red Hawks (#6, 0-1). Flyers has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Perez also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Perez has a great season in Antigua. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 18.5ppg (9th best).
