Sam Taylor claims Antiguan ABBA weekly honour

American Sam Taylor (178-PG-1997) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Cutie Ovals Ojays and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 28-year old playmaker had the game-high 26 points adding eight rebounds and six assists for Cutie Ovals in his team's victory, helping them to crush DA-Project (#5, 1-2) with 16-point margin 98-82. It allowed Cutie Ovals to jump to the first place in the Antiguan ABBA. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Cutie Ovals won both games without losing any. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Taylor had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Cutie Ovals and it was his first game, where he immediately became new team's leader. Northern Michigan University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Taylor is in league's top in points (4th best: 26.0ppg), assists (3rd best: 6.0apg) and averages solid 8.0spg,58.3% FGP and 42.9% from behind 3-point line. Worth to mention Taylor played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped him get the job in pro basketball.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young international forward Adonis Humphreys (198-F-1994) of second-ranked Flyers Basketball. Humphreys impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 21 points and 19 rebounds. Of course Flyers cruised to a 83-72 relatively comfortable win over Slam (#8, 0-2). This victory allowed Flyers to move up to second position in the standings. His team has extremely good start of the season. They won both games so far. However the season is at the beginning, so everything can happen. They still may lose their high position in the standings. Humphreys is one of the most experienced players at Flyers and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Malik Moore (183-PG, agency: VSG) of DA-Project (#5). Moore showcased his all-around game by recording 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Moore's great performance the DA-Project lost 82-98 to the league's current leader Cutie Ovals (#1, 2-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of DA-Project not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Moore could try to bring DA-Project's a little bit higher in the standings. Moore has individually a great season in Antigua. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in assists with 5.3apg (5th best).
