Minner's 26 points and 9 rebounds give him Player of the Week award

35-year old American forward Joshua Minner (198-F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for Lava Smoke Shop Warriors and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had the game-high 26 points adding nine rebounds and four assists for Lava SSW in his team's victory, helping them to beat Red Hawks (#7, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 82-73. Lava SSW maintains the 4th position in Antiguan league. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Lava SSW will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Minner had a remarkable 75.0% from 2-point range. He just recently signed at Lava SSW, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mid-America Christian University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Minner is league's best scorer averaging so far 27.7ppg. Minner is in league's top in assists (9th best: 4.7apg) and averages solid 76.9% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Humroy Wright (G) of Ottos Full Throttle. He is a guard in his first season at Red Hawks. In the last game Wright recorded an impressive 33 points. Bad luck as Ottos lost that game 73-82 to the higher-ranked Lava SSW (#4, 2-1). Ottos managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 2 lost games are too many considering they did not win any game. Wright is one of the most experienced players at Ottos and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 21.5ppg (#6).

Third place about best performers goes to guard Andre Burnett (G) of All Saints Slam (#6). Burnett showcased his all-around game by recording 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in the last round. He was a key player of Slam, leading his team to a 85-46 easy win against Navigators (#8, 0-3). The chances of Slam not to end season at such low position in the league, however are less than slim as they have already lost 2 games, recording just one victory. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Burnett could try to bring Slam's a little bit higher in the standings. Burnett has a very solid season. In 3 games in Antigua he scored 10.3ppg.
