Joshua Minner claims Antiguan ABBA Hoops Agents weekly honour

Experienced American Joshua Minner (198-F-1990) had a very impressive game in the last round for league's second-best Lava Smoke Shop Warriors and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 10.
The 35-year old forward had a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while his team beat Cutie Ovals (#3, 3-1) 110-99. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Lava SSW is placed at 2nd position in Antiguan ABBA. They are still close to the very top. Lava SSW would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 4-1 record. In the team's last game Minner had a remarkable 87.5% from 2-point range and got three three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He just recently signed at Lava SSW, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Mid-America Christian University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Minner is league's best scorer averaging so far 25.6ppg. Minner is in league's top in assists (6th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 77.2% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was another Lava SSW's star - guard Keroi Lee (G). Lee impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 21 rebounds. Of course Lava Smoke Shop Warriors cruised to a 110-99 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked Cutie Ovals (#3, 3-1). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Lava SSW consolidated its place in top 2 of the standings. His team lost just one game this season, while they won 4 matches. Lee is one of the most experienced players at Lava SSW and similarly like Joshua Minner has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Sam Taylor (178-PG-1997) of Cutie Ovals Ojays (#3). Taylor showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists in the last round. Despite Taylor's great performance the Cutie Ovals lost 99-110 to #2 ranked Lava SSW. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. The last thing Cutie Ovals needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 3 victories and 1 lost game. Taylor has a great season in Antigua. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 19.7ppg (8th best) and assists with 9.0apg (best passer). Taylor attended one of camps at Eurobasket Summer League on his way to pro basketball.
